I wake up every day and think about all the wonderful sites there to visit and enjoy around the Hampton Roads area. The depth of the history in this region is amazing. I live in Portsmouth VA and I have houses that were built around the time of the American Revolutionary War. This town is the home to the US Coast Guard and right across the water there is Norfolk VA and a wonderful view of the Battleship USS Wisconsin. General Cornwallis was based here and traveled to Yorktown to surrender. We have the graves of ship builders of the iron clad battle ship Merrimack. We go to the local seafood markets and truly get today’s catch. I can say that I truly enjoy taking the time to document this wonderful area with my camera.
I enjoyed this series Chris. Well done, now I have to return to viewing them.
